West End – Music in the Movement – Education Celebration and BLACK HISTORY MONTH EVENT SAT FEB 25TH IN HISTORIC WESTEND ATL!

The event will be held at the newly renovated theater in the West End.  The Black History Month Celebration on this Saturday Feb. 25 @ 1:00 PM. The event is designed to support the Boys and Girls Club located off of Ralph David Abernathy.

Presents a Black History Month Special Event for Teachers

“Africans, African Americans and Mathematical Excellence!”

We’ll take you on a journey through time exploring mathematical excellence from ancient African through the present. You’ll learn about African and African American mathematical geniuses as well as ways that mathematics is used in various African cultures. You’ll experience activities that can teach your students about this history as well as standards-based mathematical concepts and skills.

This FREE workshop is designed for educators
(including homeschooling parents).
