The city of Atlanta’s Alcohol Technical Advisory GROUP (ATAG) II ANNOUNCES FIRST PUBLIC INPUT HEARING

ATLANTA – The City of Atlanta’s Alcohol Technical Advisory Group (ATAG) II will meet to hear from the public regarding beer/wine/liquor licensing and enforcement issues. The hearing is an opportunity for the public to share its concerns with the ATAG II Board. The Board is in the process of reviewing the City’s Alcohol Code and will make recommendations to the City Council before the end of the year.

Atlanta BeltLine Running Club Launches Wednesday!

Announcing the Atlanta BeltLine Running Club!
Monthly Meets Kick Off This Wednesday, Feb. 22

The Atlanta BeltLine Partnership announces the Atlanta BeltLine Running Club, an opportunity for our fans to get moving and have some fun while you’re at it! Lead by Tes Sobomehin of RunningNerds, the Atlanta BeltLine Running Club will meet monthly at establishments around the Atlanta BeltLine. After a short run, we’ll head back to socialize and enjoy some refreshments.

The inaugural run is this Wednesday, Feb. 22nd. Meet us at Local Luna at 6:30 p.m. We’ll take off from there for a three-to-four mile run through several neighborhoods along the Atlanta BeltLine. After the run, we’ll meet up on the front patio, where Local Luna will provide free, healthy appetizers and beer. Stick around until 8 p.m. and you can take part in the free salsa lessons, too!

When: Wednesday, Feb. 22 at 6:30 p.m. – arrive between 6 p.m. and 6:15 p.m. to be sure you don’t miss the run!

Cost: Free

We’ll take you on a journey through time exploring mathematical excellence from ancient African through the present. You’ll learn about African and African American mathematical geniuses as well as ways that mathematics is used in various African cultures. You’ll experience activities that can teach your students about this history as well as standards-based mathematical concepts and skills.
