ADT Door-to-Door Safety Alert

Recently, a resident in Zone 4 has reported a suspicious individual going door to door saying he represented ADT Alarms and asking if the resident needed an alarm.  Please be mindful that ADT does not solicit door-to-door.  They may send solicitation through the mail and provide a number to call but no individuals go door-to-door presenting ADT.

As an added precaution, do not entertain door-to-door salesman of any kind. If you need a service or repairman make sure you call them having gotten their number from a reliable source.

Please share this alert notice with others in your neighborhood.

Crime Crack down..
Three in custody for air conditioner thefts
Three men were in custody Tuesday in connection with the alleged theft of air conditioning units in West End.
Atlanta police were called about 10:45 a.m. after the men were seen putting the air conditioners into a black pickup truck on Greenwich Street in southwest Atlanta.
According to police on the scene, an officer spotted the pickup and began following the truck.
The truck pulled into a driveway on nearby Oak Street and when the officer pulled in behind the pickup, the three occupants ran from the truck, which had two new whole-house residential air conditioning units in the back.
One suspect was caught a short time later, and police set up a perimeter around the area. Two other suspects were in custody at 11:30.
