Notice of a ATAG II Regular Committee Meeting November 14, 2012

The City of Atlanta’s Alcohol Technical Advisory Group (ATAG II) will hold its Regularly Scheduled Meeting, to discuss the City of Atlanta’s Alcohol Code, regarding beer/wine/liquor licensing and enforcement issues on:

The Committee is composed of 17 members appointed by the Mayor, City Council and community and business groups.  They have been tasked with examining and recommending changes to the City of Atlanta’s Alcohol Code which deals with the licensing of establishments that sell beer, wine and liquor, as well as the enforcement of such laws.  As part of their review, ATAG II is required to conduct at least one public hearing in each quadrant of the City.  The Committee is expected to make final recommendations to the City Council by December 2012.

The City of Atlanta Alcohol Technical Advisory Group (ATAG II) was established through legislation (11-R-0936) introduced by Post 1 At-Large Councilmember Michael Julian Bond and passed unanimously by the City Council.
